According to the Democratic Party's Policy Committee on the 4th, marathon negotiations with the Korean Medical Association were held overnight starting the previous day, resulting in a tentative agreement on five points, including the introduction of public medical schools and a fundamental reconsideration of the regional doctor system.
First, a permanent consultative body to discuss medical sector issues will be established, and it is reported that the National Assembly agreed not to process already submitted bills without consultation with the medical community.
Additionally, the Democratic Party reportedly proposed discussing necessary support measures such as budgets related to resident doctors during the consultations.
