Gyeongnam National University Produces Successful Candidates for LG Electronics Recruitment-Linked Internship
Regular Employee Recruitment Planned After Long-Term Field Training

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Gyeongnam National University announced on the 3rd that it produced six final successful candidates in the recently conducted ‘LG Electronics Recruitment-Linked Internship Program’ aimed at the Gyeongnam Regional Innovation Platform Project.
This ‘LG Electronics Recruitment-Linked Internship,’ hosted by the province, selected local talents through stages including the ‘LG Aptitude Test,’ ‘Document Screening,’ and ‘First and Second Interviews’ after receiving student recommendations from universities in the province in three fields: Mechanical (R&D Mechanism), Electrical and Electronics (R&D Hardware), and Computer (R&D Software).
The students who passed the selection process are scheduled to undergo approximately 15 weeks of long-term field training from September to mid-December and will be hired as regular employees of LG Electronics.
In preparation for this selection, the Gyeongnam National University Career Center, together with the LINC+ Challenger Project Group, provided customized programs for students, including aptitude tests, resume writing, job training, and mock interviews, resulting in the great achievement of producing six final successful candidates.
Meanwhile, the Gyeongnam Regional Innovation Platform involves 17 universities in the province centered around Gyeongnam Province, 11 local companies including LG Electronics, Central, and Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), and major regional institutions such as the Gyeongnam Office of Education, Gyeongnam Technopark, and Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute.

Additionally, this project invests a total of 44.8 billion KRW, including 30 billion KRW in national funds and 12.8 billion KRW in local funds, to establish the ‘Gyeongnam Shared University Model (USG)’ aimed at producing excellent convergence and fusion talents in smart manufacturing engineering and smart manufacturing ICT.
