[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Regarding Typhoon No. 9 'Maysak' moving northward, Seong Jang-hyun, the mayor of Yongsan-gu, inspected the construction site of the Yeoksesquare Youth Housing in Wonhyo-ro 1-ga on the 1st.
The Wonhyo-ro 1-ga Youth Housing is being built by Lotte Construction. The construction period is from February 2019 to April 2022, with six basement floors, 29 above-ground floors, and a total floor area of 64,083㎡. Of the total 752 households, 287 are planned as public rental units, and 465 as private rental units.
Seong Jang-hyun, mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, "Please thoroughly check the construction site barriers, temporary facilities, tower cranes, etc., to prevent any typhoon damage."
He also emphasized, "Even if the construction period is somewhat delayed, please make efforts to complete the construction without any safety accidents."
The district has been operating a disaster safety countermeasure headquarters for wind and flood damage preparedness since May. They plan to actively respond to the northward movement of Maysak, including emergency duty by public officials on the 2nd and 3rd.
