View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Amid ongoing small-scale cluster infections of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Seoul, six people have tested positive at an apartment in Gangnam-gu.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 2nd that following one confirmed case at this apartment on the 28th of last month, two more cases were reported by the 31st, and three additional cases were confirmed on the 1st of this month.
The city set up a temporary screening clinic in front of the apartment and planned to test 987 residents, conducting tests on 464 people by the morning of that day.
The initial confirmed cases were one apartment security guard and one resident living in a different building than where the security guard worked, the city reported.

Park Yu-mi, Director of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Citizen Health Bureau (Quarantine Controller), explained, "This apartment cluster infection did not occur simultaneously along the same line like the apartment in Guro-gu," adding, "An epidemiological investigation is underway regarding the connection between the security guard and the resident who tested positive."
