Guro-gu, Online 'Interview Special Lecture for Early Admission Preparation'
Lecture on Interview Theory on the 8th, Practical Mock Interview on the 10th... First 100 Applicants Each Accepted
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) will conduct an 'Interview Preparation Special Lecture Program' online.
On the 2nd, Guro-gu announced that it will prepare an interview preparation special lecture program to support examinees preparing for the 2021 academic year university entrance exams.
Guro-gu will first hold a lecture on interview theory on the 8th. Oh Gyu-seok, a research fellow at the Seoul Metropolitan Guidance Council, will lecture on the basics and theory of entrance interviews. It will be held as a real-time online lecture for 1 hour and 30 minutes starting at 7 p.m.
The target audience is 100 examinees residing in the area or attending high schools located in Guro-gu.
On the 10th, a practical mock interview program will be conducted. Ten entrance exam expert instructors will participate and have one-on-one mock interview sessions with examinees. Based on the self-introduction letters and school records submitted in advance by the mock interview candidates, customized entrance exam counseling will be provided. The interviews will be conducted non-face-to-face through a video conferencing program. Each examinee can participate for 30 minutes, with a total of 100 students able to participate.
Examinees who wish to participate in the interview theory lecture and mock interview can apply through the Guro Learning Support Center website by the 23rd. Each session will be closed on a first-come, first-served basis for 100 people.

A Guro-gu official said, "As the number of universities conducting non-face-to-face interviews increases due to COVID-19, we expect this interview special lecture program to be even more helpful," and added, "We will do our best to assist examinees and parents who are having difficulties preparing for entrance exams."
