Suwon Scholarship Foundation Awards Scholarships to University Students from Families Affected by COVID-19
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Suwon Scholarship Foundation will provide scholarships to university students from families struggling due to the spread of COVID-19.
The Suwon Scholarship Foundation is recruiting 161 candidates for the 'Living Scholarship Students' from the 7th to the 11th of this month. The scholarship amount is 1 million KRW per person.
Eligible recipients are students enrolled in domestic universities who have been registered residents of Suwon for more than two years and currently reside there. The selection results will be announced in October.
The selection of scholarship students is conducted by selecting 3 to 4 candidates per neighborhood through recommendations from the local neighborhood chiefs, who then directly apply to the Suwon Scholarship Foundation. Individual applications are not accepted.
Selected scholarship students must participate in up to 10 hours of volunteer work at events hosted by Suwon City in 2020. Exceptions apply if events are canceled due to COVID-19.
