50만원대 괴물 배터리 탑재 'Galaxy M51', European Launch
Record Galaxy Smartphone Battery Capacity at 7000mAh
Equipped with 64MP Quad Camera...Flagship Level
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Samsung Electronics has launched the mid-range smartphone 'Galaxy M51' in Europe, featuring battery and camera specifications elevated to flagship levels.
On the 30th (local time), Samsung Electronics began pre-orders for the mid-range Galaxy M51 smartphone in Germany. The price is 360 euros, approximately 500,000 KRW. It is expected to be released in India and other markets following Europe.
The most eye-catching specification of the Galaxy M51 is undoubtedly its battery. With a capacity of 7000mAh, it is the largest among smartphones and approaches tablet-level capacity. It supports 25W fast charging, allowing a full charge in just 2 hours.
The camera specifications are also at a flagship level. The Galaxy M51 is equipped with a 64-megapixel main lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 5-megapixel macro lens, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor camera. The front camera is 32 megapixels and supports a live focus feature that can create an out-of-focus background effect. Compared to the Galaxy Note20 series and others, the camera protrusion is minimal.
The screen size is 6.7 inches and it is available in two colors: white and black. The AP is a Snapdragon 730, a mid-range specification, and it comes with 128GB of memory and 6GB of RAM. Instead of a notch, it features a punch-hole design with a circular cutout for the front camera. The Galaxy M51 is equipped with One UI Core, designed specifically for mid-range phones, instead of One UI 2.0 or 2.5 versions.
Samsung Electronics' expansion of mid-range product lines such as the Galaxy A and M series is interpreted as a strategy to maintain global market share while countering the aggressive price-performance competition from Chinese manufacturers.
