[Breaking] 243 Quarantine Violations at Churches and Bars Yesterday... 4 People Reported for Unauthorized Departure
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] On the 28th, 243 cases of violations of quarantine rules were detected at churches, entertainment facilities, and academies. Five people who left quarantine without permission were also identified, and four of them will be reported to authorities.
The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (CDSCH) announced on the 29th the "Status of Self-Quarantine Management and Social Distancing Compliance," based on reports from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and local governments.
Each local government inspected a total of 26,208 places across 39 sectors, including 7,465 entertainment facilities, 782 churches, and 1,530 academies the previous day, and issued administrative guidance for 243 cases that violated quarantine rules. Special inspections were conducted during late-night hours (10 PM to 2 AM the next day) at 7,465 entertainment facilities nationwide, including clubs and emotional pubs.

As of 6 PM the previous day, the number of people in self-quarantine due to contact with confirmed COVID-19 cases or entry from overseas was 61,918. Among them, 28,932 were overseas entrants in self-quarantine, and 32,986 were domestic cases in self-quarantine. Five additional unauthorized departures were reported. Four of these individuals will be reported to authorities, and one will receive guidance measures.
