50s Man Arrested for Assaulting Bus Driver Who Enforced Mask Wearing Requirement
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A man in his 50s who assaulted a bus driver demanding proper mask-wearing and also attacked a passenger trying to intervene has been arrested.
On the 28th, Judge Lee Geun-soo, in charge of warrants at the Seoul Eastern District Court, issued an arrest warrant for Mr. A, who is accused of assaulting a driver and obstructing business under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes, stating "there is a risk of flight."
Mr. A is accused of pulling the mask and hitting the face of a bus driver who was instructing passengers to wear masks properly while he was on a phone call inside a city bus near Jamsil Bridge in Songpa-gu, Seoul, around 10:20 p.m. on the 25th.

He is also charged with assaulting another passenger by trying to seize their phone when they attempted to report the incident to the police and scratching their face, as well as obstructing business by shouting inside the bus and exerting intimidation.
