Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station Hosts 'Youth 119 Safety News UCC Contest'
Applications Accepted Until the 18th of Next Month
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station (Chief Im Jongbok) is hosting the '14th Youth 119 Safety News Contest UCC Competition' for elementary, middle, and high school students in the district.
According to Gwangsan Fire Station on the 28th, this contest was organized with the purpose of encouraging youth to naturally learn safety awareness from an early age by looking at safety hazards in daily life such as schools and communities from the perspective of young people, discovering problems themselves, and suggesting solutions.
So far, through the contest, youths have showcased their infinite imagination and creativity about safety in the form of news presentation performances.
However, this time, due to the COVID-19 response policies, stage performances are excluded, and judging will be based solely on the submitted videos.
Any youth can participate. Teams of 2 to 5 members can freely produce a video (UCC) within 5 minutes and submit it along with the application form to the Gwangsan Fire Station 119 Disaster Response Department by the 18th of next month.
Through judging, a total of 8 teams, including one grand prize team, will be selected and awarded.
The grand prize team will receive a commendation from the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education and qualify to represent Gwangju at the national competition in November.
