[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Intelligent Crime Investigation Unit (ICIU) will investigate 10 doctors who were reported for failing to comply with the health authorities' order to resume work.
According to the police on the 28th, the Seoul Police Agency, having received the complaint from the Ministry of Health and Welfare that day, plans to assign the case to the ICIU.
On the same day, the government confirmed whether the residents and fellows, who had entered an indefinite collective strike in protest against the expansion of medical school quotas, complied with the work resumption order issued the previous day, and reported 10 individuals from 3 hospitals who did not return to emergency room duties to the police.

At a briefing that morning, Police Deputy Commissioner Song Min-heon stated, "We will conduct focused investigations through the local police agency's Intelligent Crime Investigation Unit on serious illegal acts such as leading collective actions and will hold them legally accountable," adding, "Once the relevant complaints are received from the health authorities, we will investigate as swiftly and strictly as possible to protect the safety of the public and maintain trust in our society."
