[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] Woongjin ThinkBig announced on the 28th that it will conduct an online reading room and parent lectures for 'Honggongjok,' students studying alone at home due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
This Honggongjok program was prepared to help students develop self-directed learning habits by utilizing YouTube live streaming. It also plans to deliver useful educational information to parents.
Woongjin ThinkBig is conducting the 'Learning Keeper 101 Campaign' to cultivate study habits for elementary and middle school students. This is an online study campaign held on Woongjin ThinkBig's 'Woongijini' YouTube channel.
Participating students can log in at their self-set study time, leave an attendance comment for the day, and then study for one hour. According to the company, students can share their learning goals to boost motivation and enjoy studying together with friends through YouTube Live. Applications for participation are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the 8th of next month via the Learning Keeper 101 campaign video link on the channel.
Online expert lectures to address concerns of parents with children studying alone will also be held. The lectures will be broadcast live on Woongjin ThinkBig's Woongijini YouTube channel and the 'Book Club Lab' YouTube channel, respectively. On the Woongijini channel, a child and family counseling expert will give two lectures on creating children's habits on the 9th and 16th of next month.
On the Book Club Lab channel, a psychiatrist will provide solutions on child conflicts and learning coaching under the theme 'Online Classes, Wise Parenting Life' on the 10th of next month. On the 15th, Lisa Sohn, author of 'Metacognitive Learning Method' and psychology professor at Columbia University, will deliver a lecture on children's learning methods under the theme 'Developing Metacognition.'
