Hanwha Considering Sale of Golden Bay Golf & Resort
[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon] Hanwha Hotels & Resorts is considering the sale of Golden Bay Golf & Resort, a golf course in Taean, Chungnam.
According to industry sources on the 27th, Hanwha Hotels & Resorts recently appointed Samjong KPMG as the lead sales advisor.
A Hanwha Hotels & Resorts official stated, "This is just the beginning of the review process as one of various measures to secure financial stability aimed at overcoming the COVID-19 crisis. No specific plans or details have been decided."
They added, "We intend to prepare for the 'post-COVID' era through reinvestment by securing financial soundness, prioritizing recognition of Golden Bay Golf & Resort's market value and discussions with customers."
Golden Bay Golf & Resort features a course designed by Annika Sorenstam, known as the 'Golf Empress,' and includes a 56-room accommodation called 'Tuscan Village.'
