Naju City Releases Movement Path of Gwangju COVID-19 Case No. 316
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yuk-bong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 27th that the movement path of patient A, the 316th confirmed COVID-19 case in Gwangju who resides in Naju and is among the over 30 cluster infections at Seongnim Baptist Church in Buk-gu, Gwangju, has been disclosed.
Patient A was confirmed positive for COVID-19 at the Buk-gu Health Center in Gwangju the previous day.
The city estimates that the infection occurred through contact with the 284th confirmed case in Gwangju, a fellow church member who recently participated in the Gwanghwamun rally in Seoul.
According to the city health authorities as of this day, on the 23rd, at 7:59 a.m., patient A boarded the No. 02 seat bus at the Bitgaram-dong Administrative Welfare Center bus stop and got off at 8:20 a.m. at the Gwangju Songjeong Park bus stop.
Later, at 9:19 p.m., patient A boarded the No. 02 seat bus at Gwangju Songjeong Park and got off at 9:44 p.m. at the Naju Lake Park bus stop.
On the 24th, patient A visited the Yegaram Tower building located in Bitgaram-dong at 9:05 a.m.
On the same day, from 11:24 a.m. to 11:59 a.m., patient A used the cafeteria of KEPCO KDN, a public institution in the Innovation City, and from 12:04 p.m. to 12:46 p.m., visited Cafe Gate (Naju Innovation City branch).
On the 25th, patient A visited the KEPCO KDN cafeteria from 11:26 a.m. to 11:56 a.m., and visited Purche (Naju Innovation branch) from 12:07 p.m. to 12:46 p.m.
Also, at 7:52 p.m., patient A boarded the No. 02 seat bus at the Bitgaram-dong Administrative Welfare Center bus stop and got off at 8:40 p.m. at the Gwangju Kyungshin Girls' High School bus stop.
The city health authorities have completed full disinfection of the facilities along patient A’s movement path and have temporarily closed them for 24 hours. They are focusing on identifying additional movement paths and contacts through epidemiological investigation teams from Jeollanam-do and CCTV analysis.
In particular, a temporary screening clinic has been set up on the first floor of the KEPCO KDN building, and 25 specimen collection personnel have been urgently deployed to conduct thorough investigations and diagnostic tests focusing on cafeteria users during the same time periods.

A city health official stated, “We have set up a temporary screening clinic at the public institution and are making every effort to identify contacts based on the confirmed patient’s movement path. Citizens whose movement paths overlap with the confirmed patient’s during the same time period are strongly urged to contact the health center or Naju General Hospital screening clinic regardless of symptoms.”
