Jin Joong-kwon: "Hong Jun-pyo, Cha Myung-jin, and Min Kyung-wook Should Form a New Party with Jeon Kwang-hoon and Joo Ok-soon"
"If You Miss the Spirit of the Times, You Should Know When to Exit"
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon recently criticized independent lawmaker Hong Joon-pyo and former United Future Party lawmakers Cha Myung-jin and Min Kyung-wook, who have been engaged in online disputes with him, saying, "Form a new party together with Jeon Gwang-hoon, Joo Ok-soon, and Shin Hye-sik."
On the 27th, Jin posted on his Facebook, "Either join Cho Won-jin's party with these people. It's time for conservatives to split into extreme conservatives and rational conservatives," he said.
He added, "To the three of you, I seriously advise you. We can no longer go together. Times have changed."
Earlier, on the 23rd, Jin also stated, "If you have lost the spirit of the times, you should know when to step down. Conservatives also need to split now," and insisted again, "Cha Myung-jin, Min Kyung-wook, Kim Jin-tae, and Hong Joon-pyo should form a separate party together with Jeon Gwang-hoon, Joo Ok-soon, and Shin Hye-sik."
He further pointed out, "Anyway, we must discard what should be discarded and fix what can be fixed. If conservatives learn nothing even after witnessing the horrors of the Gwanghwamun rallies, there is no hope for conservatism forever."
In response, lawmaker Hong strongly criticized Jin, saying, "He is committing tyranny by biting anyone like a patient with attention-seeking disorder. I have no political or personal connection with Pastor Jeon Gwang-hoon."
