Jeonnam Province Reports Minimal Damage to Facilities and Crops from Typhoon 'Bavi'

According to Jeonnam Province on the 27th, since the previous day, Jeonnam, which fell directly under the influence of Typhoon ‘Bavi,’ experienced 51 cases of facility damage, including the loss or flooding of roadside trees and roads. There were no casualties.
In Yeongam, Yeosu, Haenam, Boseong, and other areas, 25 roadside trees were lost, and in Suncheon, part of a road was flooded.
Additionally, facility damage continued with six streetlights and the upper concrete of the Gageodo breakwater being damaged.
Along with this, agricultural damage was significant, including 140 hectares of fallen rice plants, 328 hectares of fruit drop, and 0.7 hectares of vinyl greenhouses destroyed.
However, the damage assessment for fisheries and aquaculture facilities is currently ongoing, and the final tally is expected to take some time.
Currently, the fallen roadside trees and utility poles have been removed and restored, and the damaged streetlights and traffic lights are in the process of being repaired.
