KEPCO KPS Introduces 'Worker Board Observation System' to Encourage Worker Participation in Management
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Korea Electric Power Corporation KPS (KEPCO KPS), a company specializing in power plant maintenance, announced on the 27th that it has officially launched the operation of the 'Worker Board Observer System.'
The Worker Board Observer System is a program designed to encourage workers' participation in management prior to the revision of the Labor Director Act, which is one of the government's national policy tasks. It aims to enhance transparency and accountability in management and decision-making.
The observers on the KEPCO KPS board are one worker who is either a representative of the labor union or recommended by the union. At the board meeting held on the 26th, Jang Jong-in, the chairman of the KEPCO KPS labor union, attended as the union representative.
