Kang Min-seok, the Blue House spokesperson, stated at a briefing at the Chuncheon Press Center on the 26th, "President Moon Jae-in instructed to strongly respond through principled law enforcement concerning the Korean Medical Association's 2nd General Strike today," adding, "The President also directed the government to effectively prepare an emergency medical plan to prevent any medical service gaps."
Spokesperson Kang added, "President Moon also ordered to simultaneously pursue persuasion efforts through dialogue with the medical community and to strengthen the Blue House's emergency management system," further stating, "Accordingly, the Blue House has decided to enter emergency management, with Policy Chief Kim Sang-jo personally overseeing the Medical Issues Response Task Force (TF) led by the Senior Secretary for Social Affairs."
