On the 25th, Joo Won appeared on SBS PowerFM's 'Choi Hwa-jung's Power Time' and revealed his recent status.
On the broadcast, Joo Won said, "This is my first radio appearance since being discharged from the military. I was busy filming until now."
He added, "I gained some weight after returning from the military," and said, "I ate well and stayed healthy, so I gained some weight. After discharge, I exercised to lose weight, but as I worked out, I got ambitious and lost more than my goal. Because of that, there was even an unintentional shower scene in the drama," bringing laughter.
He continued, "I filmed the new drama 'Alice,' which was pre-produced, so it took almost nine months," and said, "The actors worked really hard, so I'm nervous about how it will turn out."
He added, "All the actors found the script very fun. The drama script is very important, and from there, I had trust," and said, "Since the director and actors enjoyed filming on set, I think better results will come out."
When asked about his acting chemistry with co-star Kim Hee-sun, Joo Won said, "I didn't know Kim Hee-sun noona well, but I thought it would be nice to work together. It was more than 100 times better than I expected. It was really great," and added, "Kim Hee-sun noona is the type who takes good care of everyone. Her energy is great from the moment she enters the set."
He continued, "Kim Hee-sun noona seems to be in a good mood every day as if nothing bad ever happens. But why wouldn't bad things happen?" and said, "However, she never shows it on set. She only gives good energy to those around her. Even in tough situations, when Hee-sun noona comes, the atmosphere changes," recalling.
Regarding his role in the drama, Joo Won explained, "I play a detective with alexithymia. He became a detective to avenge his mother's death 10 years ago," and said, "Alexithymia is a real condition. It can improve somewhat with treatment, but people with it feel emotions less than ordinary people."
He added, "Since the drama deals with the potentially hard-to-understand theme of time travel, the biggest challenge of 'Alice' was to express time travel easily," and said, "So from the scriptwriting stage, we tried to make it easy. If you watch the actors naturally, you will understand. If it was even a little difficult, it would be hard, so we avoided making it complicated from the start."

Finally, when asked, "If you could turn back time, where would you go?" Joo Won said, "I like the present the most, so there is no past I want to go back to," and added, "If I could go somewhere, I want to go to the future. I want to see what I look like and what went wrong. Even if I go back to the past, I would go through the same things again, so it wouldn't be meaningful."
