Chief and Deputy Chief of the Court Administration Office, Family Member of Policy Office Staff Confirmed Positive, Awaiting at Home
[Asia Economy Reporter Bae Kyunghwan] After the wife of an employee at the Court Administration Office under the Supreme Court tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Cho Jaeyeon, Chief of the Court Administration Office, and Kim Inkyum, Deputy Chief of the Court Administration Office, have entered home quarantine.
According to the Supreme Court on the 25th, the wife of Mr. A, an Organizational Deliberation Officer in the Planning and Coordination Office of the Court Administration Office, tested positive the previous day. Accordingly, Mr. A did not go to work that day and is currently in self-isolation.
It was confirmed that Chief Cho and Deputy Chief Kim had received face-to-face reports from Mr. A. They went to work that day but returned home afterward. They also agreed with the National Assembly not to attend the originally scheduled Legislation and Judiciary Committee and Special Budget and Accounts Committee meetings.
Last week, the Court Administration Office has been identifying employees who came into contact with Mr. A based on his recent movements. Those employees who had contact with Mr. A have been instructed to stay at home temporarily, and their return to work will be decided based on Mr. A’s test results.
