3 Medical Staff at Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital Confirmed with COVID-19... Partial Facility Closure
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghoon Jeong] Three medical staff members, including nurses at Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital, tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), leading to the closure of some hospital facilities and the quarantine of contacts.
According to the hospital on the 23rd, one nurse from the emergency intensive care unit and one nurse and one nursing assistant from the endoscopy room were confirmed positive for COVID-19 the previous day.
There were six patients in the emergency intensive care unit where the positive case was confirmed, and about ten patients and nurses in the endoscopy room. Accordingly, the hospital closed the emergency intensive care unit and the endoscopy room, secured other wards, and cohort-quarantined the patients who had been in the emergency intensive care unit.
