CJ ENM Halts Production of 'Flower of Evil', 'Missing', and 'Seoul Village Man'... 'Forest of Secrets 2' and 'Record of Youth' to Air as Scheduled (Official Statement)
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] Amid the spread of COVID-19, CJ ENM has officially announced changes to its drama, entertainment, and music broadcasts.
On the 22nd, CJ ENM stated in a press release, "In consultation with Studio Dragon, to ensure the safety of the cast and production staff, the production of tvN and OCN dramas will be suspended from the 24th to the 31st," adding, "We will separately inform you of the broadcast dates for 'Flower of Evil' and 'Missing' in the future."
However, it was reported that tvN's 'Stranger 2' and 'Record of Youth,' which were pre-produced and have already completed filming, will be broadcast as scheduled.
Additionally, outdoor filming-centered content tvN's 'Seoul Village Idiot' will suspend filming until August 31 and will be broadcast with the footage already filmed. They also stated that any scheduling changes due to the filming suspension will be announced later.
Furthermore, Mnet's live broadcast 'M Countdown' is also scheduled to be off-air next week.
CJ ENM concluded, "For other entertainment programs as well, we prioritize the safety of the cast and production staff, making detailed production schedule changes and adhering to quarantine guidelines during production. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and do our utmost to ensure safety."
