[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] Amid the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the number of schools adjusting in-person attendance days recorded double digits for two consecutive days, while the number of students and staff confirmed positive also increased significantly.
According to the Ministry of Education, as of 10 a.m. on the 20th, 714 kindergartens, elementary, middle, and high schools across 5 metropolitan cities and provinces are adjusting their in-person attendance days. The number of schools adjusting attendance days the previous day was 689. Thirty-three schools newly adjusted their attendance schedules, while eight schools went on vacation.
