'Banggu-seok Science Talk' with Women Scientists
[Asia Economy Reporter Junho Hwang] The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 20th that it will hold an online "Banggu-seok Science Talk" with female scientists at 2 p.m. on the 22nd.
Five female scientists will participate in this event held on the last day of Girls' Engineering Week.
Professor Eunjeong Park will give a lecture titled "Breaking Through the Five-Layer Glass Ceiling and Growing into a Confident Researcher." Chaeyoung Lee, an engineer at Apple, will share her growth story as an AI researcher at a global corporation under the theme "Artificial Intelligence in Our Lives, Getting Friendly with AI."
Dr. Haejung Lee from the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) will emphasize the importance of scientific thinking in the post-COVID era under the theme "Science in Daily Life, Communicating Science." Kyungmin Hwang, CEO of Vpix Medical, will explain the motivation behind starting a bio startup in her 20s and the technology that drastically shortened cancer diagnosis time under the theme "How to Create New Medical Devices with Advanced Technology?"
