[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] On the 20th, Noroo Paint CEO Jo Seong-guk announced that he participated in the 'Thanks to Challenge,' a campaign delivering messages of gratitude and support to medical staff working hard to overcome the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), along with employees.
The Thanks to Challenge campaign is a nationwide participatory relay campaign planned by the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters to support medical staff striving to overcome COVID-19. Recently, the campaign has expanded to support all citizens working hard to overcome COVID-19, not just medical staff. It proceeds by posting photos of sign language gestures expressing gratitude and respect on SNS with hashtags and nominating the next participants.
Participating upon the nomination of Aekyung Petrochemical CEO Park Heung-sik, CEO Jo Seong-guk expressed, "I would like to thank all Korean medical staff who dedicate themselves to the people under difficult conditions. The effective containment of COVID-19 spread and the establishment of K-quarantine as a global model case were possible thanks to the medical staff." He added, "Through this Thanks to Challenge campaign, I want to deliver a message of hope that we can overcome the crisis together."
