Boseong County Promotes 'Boseong Hope Job Project' to Share COVID-19 Hardships
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Yongcheol] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 19th that it has been implementing the ‘Boseong Hope Job Project to Overcome COVID-19’ since the 18th to stabilize the livelihoods of ordinary citizens.
The county plans to recruit an additional 30 participants by the 21st.
The Boseong Hope Job Project is a program directly operated by the county to provide jobs for residents in need of livelihood support, sharing the pain of citizens who have suffered direct and indirect economic damage due to COVID-19.
This project will be carried out for four months until December, with about 100 workers participating. They will be responsible for tasks such as maintaining the scenery of tourist sites including the nationally important agricultural heritage site, the Boseong terraced tea fields, maintaining public rest areas, and supporting disinfection in public places.
Working hours are 30 hours per week for those under 65 years old and 15 hours per week for those 65 and older. The wage is the regular hourly wage of 8,590 KRW, and workers are enrolled in the four major social insurances, with paid weekly holidays and annual paid leave provided.
