Samsung Securities Launches Industry-First ETF-Dedicated YouTube Live Broadcast 'Global ETF Now'
View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Song Hwajeong] Samsung Securities announced on the 18th that it will strengthen its investment information services related to exchange-traded funds (ETFs) listed on global stock markets.
The services introduced by Samsung Securities are mainly two: the industry's first dedicated ETF YouTube live broadcast series "Global ETF Now" and the "Overseas ETF Search" service.
Global ETF Now is a YouTube broadcast where analysts appear in person to introduce global ETFs worth investing in based on the current market situation and conduct a Q&A session. Since it is broadcast live, viewers can leave questions in the comments while watching the video and hear the analysts' answers directly through the Q&A session. It is held live every other Thursday at 4 p.m. on Samsung Securities' YouTube channel Samsung POP, and the full video is uploaded after the live broadcast for viewing anytime.
The second service, Overseas ETF Search, allows users to directly check a list of ETFs online based on characteristics such as the ETF's listing country and underlying assets.
This was prepared to strengthen information delivery to ETF investors, reflecting the recent market situation where the stock market surged rapidly, making it burdensome to invest in a single stock, and interest in investing using ETFs has increased due to rising prices of commodities such as gold and silver.
Usually, ETF names consist of the asset management company name, whether leverage is used, etc., which made it difficult for general investors to search or understand. Through the Overseas ETF Search service, even if the exact ETF name is unknown, investors can search by characteristics to find the ETFs they want to invest in more conveniently. In particular, Samsung Securities utilized a category called "Major Themes" to allow users to check ETFs using underlying assets that are attracting market attention all at once. This is expected to be useful for investors' investment decisions in a way different from the common classification of ETFs by types of underlying assets such as stocks, bonds, and currencies.
