[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Choi Hyung-sik) announced on the 18th that it will close the application for the government emergency disaster relief fund, which is provided to all citizens to respond to COVID-19, on the 24th.
As of the 14th, the application rate for the government emergency disaster relief fund is 98.4% of all households, totaling 22,935 households and 13.528 billion KRW.
Citizens who have not yet applied for the government emergency disaster relief fund must visit their local eup, myeon, or dong office to apply by the application deadline.
If the application is not submitted by the deadline, the amount will be treated as a donation according to the "Special Act on the Collection and Use of Emergency Disaster Donations," and the emergency disaster relief fund received as credit card points must be used by the 31st.
The county government is identifying households that have not applied at each eup and myeon office and encouraging applications, while operating a "visiting application" service for residents who do not know how to apply or have mobility difficulties, guiding as many residents as possible to receive benefits.
