Bus Driver Who Demanded "Wear Your Mask Properly" Assaulted... Man in His 60s Arrested
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] A man in his 60s who assaulted a bus driver for requesting proper mask-wearing has been arrested.
The Dongdaemun Police Station in Seoul announced on the 18th that they have detained Mr. A (60) on charges of assaulting a bus driver and police officers who requested mask compliance (obstruction of business, obstruction of official duties, etc.).
Mr. A is accused of boarding a bus at a bus stop near Dapsimni Station in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, around 7:50 a.m. on the 14th, and assaulting the driver by pulling his hair after being asked to wear his mask properly, disrupting the bus operation for about 15 minutes.
He is also charged with obstructing official duties by pushing responding police officers and biting the back of a hand.
