BMW Korea Foundation Successfully Concludes '2020 Summer Hope Sharing School'
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] BMW Korea Future Foundation announced on the 18th that it successfully concluded the '2020 Summer Hope Sharing School,' conducted in collaboration with the international relief and development NGO Good Neighbors for about two weeks from the 3rd to the 14th of this month.
'Hope Sharing School' is a social contribution activity that provides various educational and play programs as well as quality lunch to children who are at risk of food deprivation and care gaps during vacation periods. Since first sponsoring the Hope Sharing School in 2012, BMW Korea Future Foundation has provided equal educational opportunities and social development chances to over 56,000 children to date.
The 2020 Summer Hope Sharing School, held for about 600 children from 55 elementary schools nationwide, was organized to help children grow healthily under appropriate protection amid the changed daily life due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
This program included the 'Exciting Hope Sharing School Playground,' where children take the lead in choosing their own play activities; a contest themed 'The Happy Daily Life We Dream Of'; indoor cultural experiences; and the 'Future Dream' career experience program through talent donations by local experts. Additionally, physical and mental stability of children was promoted through health, hygiene, and mental health prevention education linked with local health centers and hospitals.
