Hyundai Engineering Hosts 'Smart Safety Technology Contest'
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Hyundai Engineering announced on the 18th that it will hold a "Smart Safety Technology Contest" to introduce advanced smart safety equipment and secure cutting-edge safety technologies.
The contest theme is "Smart Safety Technology Applying 4th Industrial Revolution Technologies." It invites fresh and creative ideas from university and graduate student teams or individuals interested in the safety field. Applications will be accepted for one month from the 18th to September 18th.
The detailed technologies eligible for submission include nine areas: ▲fire detection alarms ▲worker detection alarms ▲equipment approach detection alarms ▲unmanned gas measurement systems ▲big data technology application ideas ▲drones ▲CCTV ▲smart sensors ▲IoT-based safety management ▲and other smart safety technologies.
Participants can download the proposal form from Hyundai Engineering’s official blog and apply by emailing the completed form along with the required documents. Submitted safety technology proposals will undergo a strict evaluation process based on various criteria such as ▲applicability level ▲completeness level ▲specificity level ▲contribution to accident prevention, to select outstanding works.
Hyundai Engineering plans to actively apply the submitted smart safety technologies in the field to build an advanced safe construction environment.
Meanwhile, Hyundai Engineering held the "Smart Construction Technology Contest in the Architecture & Housing Field" last June and successfully closed the application period. Through this contest, the company aims to lead the establishment of smart construction sites by integrating smart technologies not only in construction technology but also in the safety field.
