Daejeon City Provides Wage Support to Small Business Owners Hiring Middle-Aged Workers
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City announced on the 18th that it will promote the ‘Self-Employed Doctor Program’ and the ‘Wage Support Project for Small Self-Employed Businesses’ as customized support projects to alleviate the management difficulties of local small business owners.
The Self-Employed Doctor Program is a comprehensive consulting project covering management diagnosis, marketing, environmental analysis, and specialized fields (such as legal and tax), as well as facility improvement support. It also includes prospective entrepreneurs currently preparing to start a business. Consulting is conducted by visiting small business owners directly, with up to 4 sessions per business (each session within 3 hours per day).
The Wage Support Project for Small Self-Employed Businesses provides wage support (1.5 million KRW) per business for one employee who is newly hired as a middle-aged person (aged 50 or older) after January 1 of this year and whose employment is maintained until now or for 3 months after hiring at the current point in time.
In addition, the city is currently accepting applications for the ‘Small Business Wage Support Project’ and the ‘Employment Retention Small Business Social Insurance Fee Support Project.’ Customized projects can be applied for and supported through the Daejeon Economic and Trade Promotion Agency website.
