Dong-Eui University Donates Elite Sports Talent to Athletes with Disabilities
Signed Business Agreement with Busan Disabled Sports Association
Supporting Physical Health and Psychological Stability through Exchange
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dong-Eui University has signed an agreement involving elite athletes' talent donation and sports exchange to support athletes with disabilities.
On the 14th, Dong-Eui University announced on the 15th that it signed a business agreement with the Busan Disabled Sports Association to support the physical health and psychological stability of people with disabilities and will launch a full-scale sports exchange project.
The signing ceremony was held with the attendance of Dong-Eui University President Gong Soon-jin, Director of Student Welfare Office Lee Cheol-gyun, Director of the Social Service Center Yoon Hyun-seo, Head of the Sports Promotion Group Park Moon-soo, executives of the faculty and staff badminton club, Secretary General of Busan Disabled Sports Association Kim Cheol-woo, Busan Sports Promotion Division's Disabled Sports Team Leader Lee Seon-hwa, and other related personnel.
Through the agreement, the two organizations agreed to cooperate in developing programs and holding seminars for the dreams and hopes of people with disabilities, exchanging human and material resources, activating joint projects, and mutual exchange with various sports including the sports events under Dong-Eui University’s Sports Promotion Group.
Yoon Hyun-seo, Director of Dong-Eui University Social Service Center, said, “As part of Dong-Eui University’s university innovation project, since last year, a badminton club consisting of disabled badminton players, Dong-Eui University faculty, and students has been holding friendly matches at Hyomin Gymnasium through hobby programs.”
Director Yoon added, “Taking this agreement as an opportunity, we plan to expand exchanges along with various talent donations from Dong-Eui University’s elite athletes.”
Busan’s disabled badminton players have been training together at Dong-Eui University’s Hyomin Gymnasium for the past 10 years, and since 2018, Dong-Eui University’s LINC+ Project Group has been supporting uniforms and competition supplies for disabled badminton players’ participation in tournaments.

The Dong-Eui University Social Service Center will hold the ‘Dong-Eui University President’s Cup Busan Disabled Badminton Tournament’ this coming September.
