Seoul Jung-gu "Namdaemun and Dongdaemun Markets, 1,142 COVID-19 Test Results Negative"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Jung-gu, Seoul announced on the 14th that it is conducting extensive testing to prevent the spread of COVID-19 cluster infections that occurred in Namdaemun Market and Dongdaemun Market.
The district explained that as of midnight on the same day, the results of 1,142 tests conducted at Kennedy Shopping Center, Jungang Shopping Center, and Tongil Shopping Center, where confirmed cases were reported, came back negative.
Jung-gu set up temporary screening clinics near each shopping center to conduct proactive testing regardless of close contact status. In addition, professional disinfection companies disinfected 23 traditional markets in the district, including these markets.
