Ewha Womans University Museum Hosts Special Exhibition '19th Century Joseon Landscapes'

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Ewha Womans University Museum announced on the 14th that it will hold a special exhibition titled '19th Century Joseon Landscapes' at the museum's 2nd floor special exhibition hall until the end of this year to commemorate the 134th anniversary of Ewha Womans University. This special exhibition focuses on collections that capture the characteristics of Joseon from the reign of Sunjo in the 19th century to Emperor Gojong of the Korean Empire. The exhibition is organized into five sub-themes: 'Literati Hobbies and the Spread of Material Culture,' 'New Culture, Encounter with Artifacts,' 'Yearning for Secular Life, Gilsang (吉祥),' 'Yojigyeong (瑤池景), The World Dreamed by 19th Century People,' and 'Scenes of the 19th Century Seen Through Joseon Royal Records.' An augmented reality experience program will also be utilized to make the viewing more engaging. Admission is free, and visits are possible by reservation.
