Delivery App 'Ddingdong' Waives Fees for Restaurants Affected by Flooding and Heavy Rain
Over 13,000 Ddingdong Partner Stores Apply 'Zero Commission' Without Separate Application or Registration Process
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Honeybiz, the operator of the delivery app 'Ddingdong' (CEO Yoon Moon-jin), announced on the 12th that it will completely waive the commission fees previously applied to all affiliated stores nationwide. This mutual growth policy is aimed at supporting affiliated restaurants affected by the recent monsoon and heavy rains, and the support will continue until the end of August.
Ddingdong had been applying a 2% commission fee on food delivery mediation, and currently has about 13,000 affiliated stores for order mediation. The policy of waiving commission fees for affiliated stores affected by the nationwide heavy rain damage will be automatically applied without any separate application or registration process. Furthermore, it will be uniformly reflected for all order mediation restaurants regardless of whether they were affected by the monsoon damage or not. Honeybiz explained that this support measure was prepared to effectively assist business owners struggling with operations due to the record-breaking heavy rain and monsoon damage and to minimize the damage to affiliated stores.
