View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] The Gyeongnam Office of Education announced on the 7th that it has prepared a plan to provide supplies such as masks and hand sanitizing gel to out-of-school youth in the province in response to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The target group is out-of-school youth corresponding to elementary, middle, and high school ages in the province, and the support items include nine types such as disposable masks, cloth masks, and hand sanitizing gel.
Only applicants can receive the items either by visiting in person or via courier delivery.
Applications can be made through the website of the education office’s entrusted institution, ‘Youth Shelter Wicafe Daon,’ which opened last year, and the application period is from the 10th to the 21st.
Applicants who wish to pick up in person can visit Wicafe Daon located in Hapjeong-dong to receive the items, but proxy applications or pickups are not allowed.

Park Se-gwon, Director of Democratic Citizenship Education, said, “We expect this project to partially alleviate the difficulties faced by out-of-school youth due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic,” and added, “We plan to expand support to out-of-school youth so that not a single young person is left behind.”
