Gangbuk-gu, Recruiting Dedicated Disinfection Staff for Children's Play Facilities
Application Submission from the 3rd to the 5th for 3 Days... Total of 20 Positions Available
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Gyeom-su) is hiring COVID-19 quarantine personnel dedicated to children's playground facilities.
This plan aims to strengthen regular disinfection activities of facilities as the frequency of outdoor playground equipment use has relatively increased due to the prolonged infectious disease situation.
Considering the characteristics of playground equipment frequently touched by children, more detailed quarantine will be possible. Amid growing instability in the job market due to the impact of COVID-19, this also achieves a twofold effect of job creation.
The new quarantine personnel will carry out disinfection activities targeting 175 playground facilities located in urban parks and apartment complexes.
They will perform temporary duties from the 18th of this month until October, working 6 hours a day (30 hours a week) under labor conditions, receiving wages based on this year’s minimum wage (8,590 KRW per hour).
Applicants wishing to apply should prepare the application form and required documents and submit them in person at the Gangbuk-gu Office’s Parks and Greenery Division or Housing Division.
Common required documents include ▲application form ▲job seeker registration certificate ▲resident registration copy ▲criminal record consent form ▲personal information provision consent form, and the application form can be downloaded from the district office website.
The application period is from the 3rd to the 5th, and the number of recruits is 20.
Eligibility requirements are residents of Gangbuk-gu who are at least 18 years old and capable of working as of the announcement date. Priority will be given to unemployed individuals or daily workers without regular income who have registered as job seekers at employment stability centers, or residents who have experienced job loss or business closure due to COVID-19. For more details, refer to the recruitment announcement posted on the Gangbuk-gu Office website.

Mayor Park Gyeom-su of Gangbuk-gu said, “We expect that regular disinfection activities by dedicated quarantine personnel will help prevent secondary transmission of COVID-19 through contact surfaces of playground equipment,” and added, “We will thoroughly manage quarantine to create a safe play environment where children and parents can feel at ease.”
