Former Hyundai Engineering & Construction Volleyball Player Go Yumin Found Dead at Home
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Ko Yu-min (25), a former player of the Hyundai Engineering & Construction women's professional volleyball team, was found dead at her home.
According to the Gwangju Police Station on the 1st, Ko was found deceased at her residence in Opo-eup, Gwangju City, around 9:40 PM the previous day. Concerned after Ko did not answer calls continuously, a former teammate visited her home, discovered her condition, and reported it to the police.
At the time of discovery, there were no signs of criminal activity, including intrusion by outsiders. Ko joined the Hyundai Engineering & Construction volleyball team in 2013. She suddenly left the team in early March this year, before the 2019?2020 season was suspended, and subsequently, the Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) announced her voluntary withdrawal.
