One COVID-19 Case Confirmed in Gangnam-gu...51 of 90 Related to Sauna Test Negative (Update)

View original image[Asia Economy Min Jun-young, Intern Reporter] One additional confirmed case of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has been reported in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
According to Gangnam-gu on the 30th, a 76-year-old woman living in Segok-dong, Gangnam-gu, tested positive for COVID-19 on the morning of the same day.
The woman had a small gathering at a friend's house on the 16th, and after two attendees tested positive, she had been in self-quarantine since the 24th.
She tested positive on the morning of the 30th following a specimen test conducted on the 29th, immediately after her quarantine was lifted. Since she was in self-quarantine, she had no movements within the district except at her residence.
Additionally, the district conducted specimen tests on 90 people who used the A Bulhanjeungmak Sauna near Seolleung-ro, which the confirmed patient visited between 12:30 PM and 3:30 PM on the 23rd. As a result, all 51 tested individuals were negative. The remaining 39 people are still undergoing testing.
Gangnam-gu urged visitors to the Lotte Bulhanjeungmak Sauna during the specified time to visit the Gangnam-gu Public Health Center promptly for specimen testing, even if they have no symptoms.
Furthermore, Gangnam-gu reported that a confirmed patient from Seocho-gu, who visited an office located in Daechi-dong where a previously confirmed patient tested positive, was notified to the relevant local government, and contacts were placed under self-quarantine.
It was also confirmed that an employee working at a foreign automobile company located in Yeoksam-dong tested positive on the same day.
In response, Gangnam-gu conducted disinfection of the company's office and closed it until the 2nd of next month, while conducting a detailed epidemiological investigation to identify additional contacts.
As of 6 PM on the same day, the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Seoul was 1,599, with 7 new cases added since midnight.
Among the 7 new confirmed cases, one was related to a nursing facility in Gangseo-gu, one was related to the K Building office in Gangnam-gu, two were contacts of confirmed cases from other cities or provinces, and three were categorized as others.
By district, Gwanak-gu confirmed patient number 145 on the 30th, who was a contact of patient number 144 with an unknown infection route and the previously confirmed patient number 143 (confirmed on the 29th).

Additionally, Gangseo-gu reported that a family member of a previously confirmed patient (number 85, confirmed on the 19th) residing in Banghwa 1-dong developed symptoms during self-quarantine and tested positive as patient number 106 in the district on the 30th.
