[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] On July 25th, from 10 a.m. for two hours, the Dongmyung University Social Service Group held the first session of the talent donation volunteer activity in the beauty field titled ‘YouTube & Creator - Kkumteul Kkumteul’ for middle school students at the Busan Nam-gu Volunteer Center, held at the Student Welfare Center.

The program, conducted remotely via ZOOM by Yoon Hye-young, program manager at the Nam-gu Volunteer Center, explained to the middle school mentees the characteristics of beauty, basic makeup preparation, and future career paths.

Kim Hye-bin, a sophomore student in the Department of Beauty Care, said, “Because it was a non-face-to-face activity due to COVID-19, it was somewhat awkward and it was difficult to get close. Still, I tried my best to communicate, and based on this, I will spend more meaningful time from the next activity.”

Three teams of 20 university students will provide close mentoring twice a month until November on media and beauty to the middle school mentees.

Now in its second year, this talent donation aims to go beyond simple volunteer work to practically help form social bonds between university student mentors and middle school mentees and assist in career exploration.
