Tmax Advances into Defense IT Business with AI and Cloud Technologies
Participation in the Development Project of Combat Systems for Korean Next-Generation Destroyers
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Tmax announced on the 29th that it will participate in defense IT projects such as building combat system systems through products that combine new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud.
Tmax is entering the Navy's 'Korean Next-Generation Destroyer (KDDX) Combat System Development Project,' signaling the revitalization of defense IT projects. The KDDX is a representative naval combat ship equipped with advanced weapon systems, radar, sonar, and more.
Tmax creates the core engine of the combat system, which acts as the brain of the combat ship, through software (SW) to support smart combat vessels, smart operational management, and smart cooperation. This is to quickly and accurately integrate control and manage processes such as attack detection, analysis, and response.
Tmax plans to present a new cloud-based combat system. It integrates the large number of physical servers previously used into a single cloud environment and utilizes AI technology to support fast and efficient operation planning and execution.
In the future, Tmax plans to build various defense IT systems based on its accumulated software expertise and defense industry references. Leading with a lineup of solutions including cloud platforms, middleware, DBMS, AI technology, and applications, it provides an integrated stack necessary for the defense IT system environment.
