Changwon National University Decides to Award 'COVID-19 Overcoming Special Scholarship'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Changwon National University decided on the 28th to provide special scholarships to enrolled students to share the difficulties faced by students and parents due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The special scholarships are expected to be given to about 4,600 students who paid tuition for the first semester of the 2020 academic year and have completed credits.
The amount paid is 10% of the actual tuition payment for the first semester, with a total amount of about 700 million won. The payment method will be direct payment to the eligible students.
Additionally, to secure funds for the special scholarships, budget savings were made by reducing operating expenses of university accounts in each department and utilizing contingency funds.
