[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Sung) will operate a drive-in theater for residents tired of staying at home.
On the 28th, Guro-gu announced that it will hold the "Cheer Up Guro! Drive-In Festival" to provide residents with an opportunity to enjoy cultural activities and heal without worrying about COVID-19.
The "Drive-In Festival" will be held from August 14 to 16 at 7:30 PM daily at Anyangcheon A Soccer Field. For three days, popular performances for each generation will be shown on a large screen. Visitors can comfortably watch the performances inside their cars.
On the first day, August 14, the event will feature "Carrie TV Love Concert The Movie," capturing the sing-along concert of the popular characters Carrie and Friends. On the 15th, the first recital performance of singer Song Ga-in, who gained great popularity after winning "Miss Trot," will be screened. On the last day, attendees can enjoy the concert footage of the global group BTS, who topped the "Billboard 200," titled "Love Yourself in Seoul."
Applications for viewing can be made from 8 PM on the 3rd through a popup window on the Guro-gu Office website. A total of 150 vehicles per day will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications require at least two people per vehicle.
To prevent COVID-19, Guro-gu will ensure sufficient distance between vehicles and will check mask-wearing and conduct temperature checks for attendees.

A Guro-gu official said, "We hope this 'Drive-In Festival' will help relieve stress caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic," and added, "We will continue to prepare various programs for the psychological quarantine of residents."
