View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Seon-gap) is operating the ‘Youth Hope Job Project’ to support young people facing difficulties in finding employment due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The target group is Seoul citizens aged 18 to 39 with working ability, and the number of recruits is 31. Selection prioritizes young residents of Gwangjin-gu, considering whether they belong to vulnerable employment groups and the conditions of each project.
The recruitment fields include ▲fever screening for passengers at Dongseoul Bus Terminal ▲support for delivering goods to self-quarantined individuals ▲disinfection inspections at multi-use facilities such as karaoke rooms ▲administrative support at community service centers (3 districts), among 6 projects in total.
Participants will work 30 to 40 hours per week for four months from August 17 to December 18, receiving an hourly wage of 8,590 KRW (minimum wage), weekly and monthly allowances, and meal expenses.
Residents who wish to participate can submit an application form and personal information consent form by visiting the Job Policy Division or via email by the 7th of next month. For more details, please refer to the district office website.
Mayor Kim Seon-gap said, “In the midst of young people struggling with job searching due to the impact of COVID-19, job opportunities are also decreasing. I hope this project will provide even a small help to stabilize the lives of young people.”

Additionally, the district operates the ‘Hope Job Project’ for residents aged 18 and older who need livelihood support. Recruitment for this project was completed by the 24th, and from August 10, jobs will be provided for up to 1,701 residents for four months.
