KOSPI Recovers to 2210 Level on Opening Rise... KOSDAQ Nears 800 Mark
[Asia Economy Reporter Geum Bo-ryeong] On the 27th, the KOSPI opened on an upward trend, recovering the 2210 level.
At 9:20 a.m. that day, the KOSPI index was 2217.73, up 17.29 points (0.79%) compared to the previous session.
The KOSPI opened at 2203.48, up 3.04 points (0.14%) from the previous trading day, and continued its upward trend.
In the securities market, individuals sold a net amount of 35.2 billion KRW, while foreigners and institutions bought net amounts of 27.6 billion KRW and 16.8 billion KRW, respectively.
By sector, non-metallic minerals (1.58%), steel & metals (1.7%), transportation equipment (1.09%), and distribution (0.9%) rose.
Among the top 10 companies by market capitalization, Samsung Electronics (1.29%), Samsung Biologics (0.66%), NAVER (0.71%), and Kakao (0.62%) rose, while SK Hynix (0.84%) and Celltrion (0.47%) declined.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ also recorded 797.39, up 2.59 points (0.33%) from the previous trading day, standing just below the 800 mark.
The KOSDAQ opened at 795.19, up 0.39 points (0.05%) from the previous session, and maintained its strong performance.
In the KOSDAQ market, individuals sold a net amount of 18.9 billion KRW, while foreigners and institutions bought net amounts of 21 billion KRW and 9 billion KRW, respectively.
By sector, food & tobacco (0.74%), paper & wood (0.8%), and IT components (0.63%) rose.
