Rental of a Total of 1,230 Parasols, Simultaneous Response to COVID-19 Pandemic and Heatwave Disaster... One Parasols per Person with ID for Up to 3 Days
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dobong-gu (Mayor Dongjin Lee) is launching a parasol rental service campaign to efficiently respond to the summer heatwave and COVID-19.
This is to simultaneously practice social distancing in daily life and respond to heatwave disasters.
The parasol usage campaign period is from July to September. According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the average temperature in the metropolitan area during the hot summer period from July to September is expected to be similar to or higher than the average year.
The total number of parasols available for rental is 1,230. Any Dobong-gu resident can rent one. By presenting an ID card, one parasol can be rented per person for up to 3 days.
Parasol rentals are available at ▲Dobong-gu Office Comprehensive Situation Room and Information Desk ▲14 Dong Community Service Centers ▲Health Center 1st floor Information Desk ▲Residents' Hall 1st floor Information Desk ▲4 Comprehensive Welfare Centers (Changdong Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Dobong Seowon Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Bangagol Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Dobong Senior Comprehensive Welfare Center) ▲Changdong Culture and Sports Center ▲6 Libraries (Dobong Culture and Information Library, Hakmaeul Library, Dobong Ainara Library, Dobong Miracle Library, Ssangmun Chaeum Library, Dooly Library), totaling 29 locations.
Promotional banners, posters, and leaflets will be provided at rental locations.
Mayor Dongjin Lee of Dobong-gu said, “Through the parasol rental service during the heatwave period, we will do our best to ensure that all residents, including vulnerable seniors, can spend the summer healthily by actively preparing for the heatwave along with preventing the spread of COVID-19 and practicing social distancing in daily life.”
