[Breaking] Additional COVID-19 Cases Confirmed Among Construction Workers Returning from Iraq
[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Among the Korean workers who returned on the 24th after working at a construction site in Iraq, one person was additionally confirmed positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
On the 26th, the Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that as of 1 PM that day, a total of 75 out of 293 returning workers tested positive. The current infection rate among returnees is 25.6%, approximately one in four.
Previously, 36 people tested positive on the day of arrival, 38 more were confirmed on the 25th, and one additional case was confirmed on this day.

The confirmed patients are currently receiving treatment at the National Medical Center, Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center Suwon Hospital, and the Employment and Labor Training Institute Residential Treatment Center.
