COVID-19 Cluster Infection at Pocheon 8th Division "No Additional Confirmed Cases"
[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] No additional COVID-19 cases have been reported at the 8th Division in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, where a cluster infection of the novel coronavirus occurred.
The Ministry of National Defense announced on the 25th, "As of 10 a.m. today, there are no additional confirmed COVID-19 cases within the military."
PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests conducted on approximately 800 soldiers from the subordinate units of the 8th Division in Pocheon and three nearby units all returned negative results.
Until the previous day, a total of 18 individuals from these units had tested positive.

The cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases within the military remains at 76 (58 recovered), with 263 personnel quarantined according to health authorities' standards and 1,518 personnel under preventive quarantine according to the military's own standards.
