Ewha Womans University Supports Doctoral Program Completion for Professors Invited from ASEAN Countries
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Ewha Womans University announced on the 24th that it will invite professors from Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries who hold bachelor's and master's degrees to support their completion of doctoral programs.
Earlier this year, Ewha Womans University was selected for the 'ASEAN Professors Invitation Scholarship Project' organized by the Korean Council for University Education. Education will be provided to female university professors from ASEAN countries until August 2025. ASEAN countries refer to the 10 member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations established in 1967, including Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Female professors in ASEAN countries rarely hold doctoral degrees, making it difficult to cultivate professional personnel.
Through this project, four new students scheduled to enroll at Ewha Womans University in the second semester will be admitted to the Department of Social Welfare (Cambodia), Department of Education (Myanmar), Department of Food and Nutrition (Vietnam), and Department of Korean Studies (Vietnam). Scholarships will cover tuition fees as well as settlement support, airfare, and living expenses.
